Young Rider Program in full swing

Just a little update from the Area II Young Rider Program...the year is in full swing and I have really enjoyed the opportunity to watch some of our members at a few of the Mandatory Selection trials. I am very excited to see so many new faces! Our first clinic is set for this weekend, May 15th and 16th with the team coaches, David and Lauren O'brien. We have opened the clinic up to the Adult Rider's along with the YRAP member's and we still have plenty of room, so if you are interested please send in an entry! The June clinic will also be open to the Adult Rider and YRAP members and the dates for that are June 12 -13.

The google group that was set up is going strong and I encourage all of you to continue using the forum as a way to get to know each other and learn about both the Young Rider program and the YRAP program.

I would also like to take this time to welcome our new YRAP coordinator Eileen Pritchard Bryant! After 3 years of service, Karen Mahaffey has passed the reins over to Eileen and we are very excited to have her! Coming soon to the program will be 'parent co-cordinators' that will volunteer from different parts of Area 2 that will assist Eileen in setting up clinics, camps and team competitions. Membership has tripled in YRAP and with the distance between members and school obligations we hope to bring more activities closer to home!

As always we are looking ahead to a great year of fun, training and competition!
